Sandhill

I was on a photographic trip to Vancouver, B.C., with well known professional photographer Alan P. Bargen. The wildlife park we were in was filled with wild birds. I had taken a lot of grain to entice the ducks and geese in close enough to get good close-ups. This big sandhill crane flew in and decided she wanted her share. I started talking to her and my got her to come eat out of my hands. She took every bite as gentle as could be and stayed until it was all gone. When I have sessions like this I put my whole heart into the painting.
