Salmon River Velvet

The Salmon river is a beautiful river that runs through the coast range, that separates me from the Pacific ocean. It's not a huge mountain range, but is beautiful. It's also home to many of Oregon's wildlife.
It's early summer, and this guy is getting his new set of antlers. They are soft, so until they start to hardening up he must be careful.
This was a scene I walked up on while taking pictures of the area, to use in future paintings.
