Barred Owl

This Barred Owl was a pleasure to paint. We have many owls around my area, but I've  yet to see a Barred Owl in our area. This oil was photographed in Canada by Allen P. Bargen, a wonderful and talented, professional photographer. I spend a lot of time looking at his website, looking for inspiration and reference for more paintings.
