CAPE BUFFALO

“CAPE BUFFALO”  My family and I were blessed to be able to go to Kenya for a three- week photography trip.  Between my son and I, we came home with over 15,000 photos.  (Thank goodness for digital.  Old school developing would have cost more than the trip).   

It is estimated that the African Cape Buffalo kills around 200 people every year making it one of the most dangerous animals in Africa.  It is considered the most defensive,  aggressive buffalo in the world, highly unpredictable and, other than humans, they have few predators.   When one starts a charge, he doesn’t quit until he hits whatever he’s after.  We watched and photographed them from far, far away …and with great caution!
