The Leopard small

THE LEOPARD
When we visited Kenya, on a safari, I was able to see so many of the animals that I had only seen in zoos or on TV. It was a life changing experience, one that made me want to paint the animals I do, even more. The leopard is one of the most beautiful of cats. This reference materials was sent to me by the wonderful photographer David Whelan, who lives in Australia. I am in his debt for his kindness. The tree in this painting was a big challenge, and the hours and layers really paid off, in my opinion.
