I raised tropical birds for many, many years. At one time, I had over 400 birds here at my house. I loved every minute I spent with them. 

Parakeets, or Budgies, are one of the most personable birds out there, and they come in almost any color you'd want.

I wanted to paint these as if they were the wild version and not as a pet.
