GOLDFINCHES

I feed hundreds of birds in my front yard, every day. I look forward to the nesting season, as the colors get so much brighter. When the Goldfinches show up, the stage is set.  There are not many birds that are more beautiful in the Spring. I have 25 to 30 of them on my feeders at a time.  They love thistle seeds, but until the thistle seeds come out, they flourish on my black oil sunflower seeds.  I've thought of painting them for some time, and now, that time has come.
