HAYSTACK ROCK AT KIWANDA BEACH

Cape Kiwanda State Natural Area is found on the northern coast of Oregon. Nearby is the home of the Pacific Dory Fleet launching area, tidepools, and beaches popular with picnickers.  When not climbing sand dunes, Kiwanda provides great hang gliding and kite flying opportunities.   I love to play tour guide whenever we have out-of-town company with the time and interest to see the beautiful sights of our coastline.   On a recent visit as I stood watching the tide come in, I knew I had to capture it on canvas.
