COWBOY TOM - SUNDAY MORNING DRIVE

“COWBOY TOM – SUNDAY MORNING DRIVE”     A gallery in Santa Fe, New Mexico  specializing in Western Art talked to me about creating some western paintings for a show in their gallery.   It had been a long time since I'd done western-themed paintings but I was both interested and excited.    As soon as I returned home to Oregon, I went to work producing the "Cowboy Tom" series.  When I had enough paintings completed, I contacted the gallery owners.   The owners advised me that the gallery had just been sold and the new owners had decided to not handle western art; they were changing the gallery to an entirely different genre.  It was a bummer hearing the news but I thoroughly enjoyed and am very glad I did the series.
