So, my son has decided that his rotting deck needed replacing. He of course asked me for help and I was glad to do it…until I realized what he wanted. Wow. His “little” deck grew utterly gigantic somewhere on my trip between Portland and Seattle. Its 36 feet wide, with a 16ft section of it sticking out 16ft…and the rest sticking out 10 feet. What a job. Luckily Terre’s dad flew out from PA to assist…couldn’t have done it with out him. Man, I need a long, long nap/vacation.
Sturgeon Fishing Trip!
Went out with my ‘boys’ on a fishing trip. Went with Travis, Dave (my son by proxy) and Dave’s Dad (Dave Sr.) on a pretty amazing day. Travis took me out on my birthday for what was supposed to be 8 hours of sturgeon fishing on the Columbia. 14 hours later the boat docked. We landed 13 (Travis 6, Dave 3, Dave Sr. 2 and Jesse 2) but were only able to keep one (mine of course). It weighed in at 26 lbs and 52 inches long. These things are dinosaurs!
